Miami – Last May 9, 2013, at around 3:10 o’clock in the afternoon, five cars both going east and west along 47th Ave. and N.W. 7 St. collided. During the impact, one of the drivers identified as Juan G. Liriano was killed. Investigation of the wreck is ongoing as they are making use of the red light camera installed in the site.
The five car mishap at the NW Miami-Dade caused the death of one man and the injury o another who was delivered to the hospital.
According to the police, the multiple cars involved in the wreck were all running east and west but when they reached the intersection of NW 7th Ave. and 47th, they crashed at around 3:10 o’clock that afternoon.
Police reported one casualty, identified as Juan G. Liriano, age 71, He was the only fatal victim in the crash for the other victim sustaining injuries was delivered to the Jackson Memorial Hospital.
Chopper took photos of the accident scene and it showed a black car, mangled beyond recognition, near the mid intersection of the area; there was also another car showing extensive damage in front. There were also three other cars involved which were hardly damaged.
Police are going over the video taken from the red light cameras, as well as interviewing the witnesses to get more details of the crash.
Officials already made an arrest in connection with a five car crash that left one driver dead.
The suspect was identified as Isis M. Cesar, age 36, that the police took in custody that Tuesday for the May 9 crash that occurred NW 7th Street and 47th Avenue in Miami.
One fatality of the crash was Juan Liriano who died on the scene due to the impact.
Records in jail showed that Cesar was held at the Correctional Center of Turner Guilford Knight as of Wednesday morning and without bond for charges of DUI DUI manslaughter.
After two months of the wreck that took the life of one man, the errant driver was finally arrested and pressed with serious charges including manslaughter.
Last Monday, suspect, 36 – year-old Isis Cesar was arrested Monday for the multiple car crash that ended the life of Juan Liriano, 71, on May 9, 2013.
According to police record, at around 2:00 o’clock in the afternoon, Cesar was driving with a speed of 70 mph in a 40 mph speed zone. While negotiating a left intersection turn at NW 7th Ave. and 47th, she crashed into another car. The impact caused the driver’s vehicle to then hit Liriano’s car.
Liriano’s vehicle was airborne and then hit for the second time where he was pronounced dead on the scene.
According to the records, Cesar was found to have been DUI at the time of the crash. She told the nurse that was taking several medications and smoking marijuana the day before.
On Monday, Cesar gave herself up to the police and she is now facing driving under the influence and manslaughter charges.
